Tuition & Financial Aid
An Elite and Affordable College Prep Education - You can have it both ways.
Gravitas offers the best value of any online school available today. Gravitas stands out amongst online middle and high school programs for its:
- strong reputation for excellence in academics and character formation,
- commitment to live instruction,
- cultivation of meaningful relationships between students, their peers from around the globe, and their teachers and advisors
- physical campus allowing students to participate in summer residential programming and campus activities during the school year
As a program of an accredited non-profit private boarding and day school, all tuition collected goes towards developing curriculum and programs and delivering world-class instruction to our students. Online schools that offer synchronous instruction at the college prep level tend to charge two to three times Gravitas's tuition, and many are for-profit schools answering to their investors. Those that are cheaper tend not to offer a true live school experience, relying instead on part-time instructors and asynchronous (i.e. self-paced, offline) coursework to keep costs down.
Gravitas was founded with the mission of making elite education accessible to deserving students regardless of the economic status or geographic location. With roughly 50% of Gravitas students receiving generous need-based financial aid, there is no reason to turn to low-cost alternatives when you can have the best.
For 2023-2024, full-time online tuition is $16,800. Financial aid is available for full-time students.
