Parent-Teacher Conferences - No Classes

At Gravitas, we value our partnership with parents to ensure the success of all of our students. On this day, parents will book brief meetings with their student's teachers to discuss their progress and work together to help them thrive academically, spiritually, and socially.

Monday chapel and Monday classes meet on this day. Wednesday classes do not meet.

Mid-Semester 1

At Mid-Semester 1, teachers will provide updates on grades. This is just a grading checkpoint mostly useful to seniors who are applying early decision or early action. Mid-Semester 1 grades do not factor into final transcript grades.

Faculty In-Service Day - No Classes

Classes and chapel do not meet today. Faculty will participate in in-service activities in preparation for Mini-Course/Summit Week.

October 29-November 1, 2024

Fall Mini-Course Week/Gravitas Fall Summit

Normal classes do not meet this week. Instead, Gravitas will offer exciting four-day online mini-courses and the opportunity to participate in the Gravitas Fall Summit on the campus of The Stony Brook School.

Daylight Savings Ends

Gravitas changes to US Eastern Standard Time (EST), so if your country does not observe Daylight Savings, your classes will move an hour later.

November 25-December 2, 2024

Thanksgiving Break

Gravitas is on break this week to give thanks to God for His abundant blessings.

Fall Oral Assessments

During these four days, students will schedule their oral assessments with their teachers.

Gravitas is on break this week to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the miracle of the incarnation.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Gravitas students will not meet for normal classes but will engage in community service activities in honor of Dr. King.
